Agnes Scott College
Overview
Campus Movie Fest (CMF) is the world’s largest student film festival. For over 20 years we’ve provided young filmmakers all of the equipment, training, and support they needed to make a five-minute movie in a week. One Moviemaking Week. Every college in the country. Let's do this.
CMF Rules
5 Minutes or Less
Your movie must be less than or equal to 5 minutes in length to be considered for judging. That's 5 minutes, 0 seconds, and 0 frames (05:00;00)!
Still have questions? Visit our support page, email us at support@campusmoviefest.com, or text us at 541-263-8324. We're here to help!
Avoid filming trademarks, logos, or footage of other media (like TV/movie clips, video games, artwork, etc.). Do not put popular (or unpopular) music or sounds in your movie, because it's definitely copyrighted and you definitely don't have the rights to it 😉.
Looking for free music you can use without consequence? Check out some resources HERE.
Prep as much as you like (in fact, we encourage it). Write your script, storyboard your action, book your locations. But you must film and edit your movie all within the Moviemaking Week!
You have from 12:00am on the first day, through 11:59pm on the last day, to do all your production through post-production, and upload your film. We recommend entering your release forms and being ready to submit your finished film a couple hours before the final deadline in case there are any techincal issues.

SAFETY DURING COVID-19
Your safety and health are of the utmost importance to the CMF team and our partners. We realize that moviemaking tends to be a collaborative process, but we need everyone to take precautions to make your set a safe experience for all. We've compiled the following resources, and require that all participants follow all federal, state, local, and campus guidelines:

There are plenty of free sound effect and music websites that require no special license. Here's three:
Only currrent students from the school in which you are submitting your movie for competition are allowed to work on your film. This includes all creative and non-creative roles, with the exception of actors.
Actors are not limited to students and can be from any school and of any age. Have a dog that can act? Get him in your movie, because we all want to see your pup.
